The Nintendo DSi might have been unveiled last year, but it’s still not available outside Japan. But according to the latest murmurs, that could be about to change.

According to IGN, Nintendo is preparing to release the DSi in America for $180, and while there’s no official confirmation, that would make it a believable £123 in the UK.

In terms of pricing, it seems about right. After all, the DSi is essentially a Nintendo DS with a bumped up screen, SD card slot and built in camera. Given the current model costs £100, that extra £23 seems about right.

But Nintendo is keeping schtum over the DSi’s release anywhere but Japan, despite reports that it hasn’t gone down a storm over there. Keep it here for more as soon as we hear it.
