There’s a ton of mobile news today, but don’t slog through every story, get them all in one place: the lunchtime lowdown!

Forget the iPhone, forget the T-Mobile G1, the phone we’re getting really excited about is the Asus Eee Phone. It’s been confirmed by Asus boss Jonney Shih, who says it’ll be out in the first half of the year, and act as a remote control for its other Eee-branded kit, such as the Eee Top and Eee Keyboard.

Struggling to forget the iPhone completely? Then how about this tidbit: Apple’s begun allowing browser apps onto its handset, paving the way for the likes of Opera Mini and Firefox Fennec.

Still hankering for handset news? Then check out the Samsung Show projector phone. It’s a full-blown touchscreen mobile, with a projector built in to throw images against any flat surface. Still hungry for tech happenings? There’s a ton more on the homepage!
