Archos has slipped out a few more details on its first netbook, the Archos 10. Now we know the price and launch date of its titchy, tiny laptop.
It’ll hit the UK before the end of January, costing a respectable £349, and bundled with Windows XP. There’ll also be a 1.3 megapixel webcam above the 10 inch screen and a handy four-in-one memory card reader.
Everything else is just as we reported earlier today, although there’ll also be some bundled software: a six month trial of Bit Defender Antivirus (yawn), Lotus Symphony (bit businessey), a parental filter (if you must), and Skype (what? That’s free anyway!)
More exciting are the multimedia apps on-board. The Archos 10 will offer access to the Archos Media Club video on demand service, as well as Deezer for music (no, us neither) and vTuner for TV and radio through the web.
We’re still filing it firmly under M for “Meh,” but you never know, this re-badged Hasee laptop could be a toe in the water before a proper, self-built Archos laptop.
