Spy shots of the first Arcam Blu-ray player have popped up online, showing the future direction of the high-end AV manufacturer.
Spotted “behind the scenes” at CES by Pocket-Lint, the Arcam “FMJ-something” is still lacking in the detail department. All we know is it’ll play back (and presumably upscale) DVDs, Blu-ray discs and packs HDMI (obviously).
There’s also a symbol for what looks like DTS-HD Master Audio, the lossless format on Blu-ray, although the player is curiously lacking the Blu-ray logo itself.
We’re told to expect more information in February, when Arcam will make its first Blu-ray player public.
