There have been more OLED TVs than ever at CES 2009, but LG’s AMOLED is one of the most impressive. OK, so it won’t launch until 2010, but when it does we’re promised a screen so slim it’ll stick to walls.
LG’s screen is just 0.85mm thick, and uses hidden wires to get the picture to the AMOLED display. Check out these snaps of it stuck to a piece of glass. Can you spot the cabling?
As well as being stunningly slim, the AMOLED screen has a 180 degree viewing angle, and while the current concept model is just 15 inches across, other sizes are planned.
