Sony has just dropped news of a cutesy new ultra compact laptop packing built-in GPS for added satnav sweetness and 3G broadband. The new Sony VAIO P Series Lifestyle PC notebook is launching in February, featuring a dinky 8-inch ultra wide LCD screen.

The 8-inch screen isn’t it’s only bite-size credential the VAIO P Series is touting – it’s also a serious waif in the weight stakes, tipping the scales at just 1.4 pounds.

GPS, 3G broadband, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Sony’s tiny new notebook is seriously well connected. Plus, it’s launching next month in a heap of smart shades including garnet red, emerald green, onyx black, crystal white and classic black.
