Panasonic has just killed LG’s claims of the “world’s slimmest” TV. We’d only just finished picking up the pieces of our shattered jaws from Toshiba’s Cell TV tech announcement this morning when we broke them to bits again: Panasonic’s just whipped the covers off its Neo PDP Eco plasma screen, and it’s only a third of an inch thick! Plenty of pics after the jump.
Panasonic’s Executive Vice-President, Robert Perry, pulled the sheet off this stupidly slim screen as he finished off the company’s keynote speech at this year’s CES, and sent the audience into a frenzy.
The Neo PDP Eco holds this name as it’s also the most energy efficient plasma screen Panasonic has made (Using just a third of the power of its 2007 models), but frankly, we could care less about the climate when it looks this good.
There’s very few details on the model just yet, other than it should work with Panasonic’s IPTV tech, Viera Cast, and wireless connectivity set up Viera Link, but never mind that, this is the sexiest television we have ever seen, period. Check out the photos below, then go and buy a lottery ticket.
