JVC is hot on Sharp’s heels with a HD TV with Blu-ray built in, the JVC LT-42B300.

JVC has posted details online of its first hi-def all in one, the LT-42B300, and it’s not a bad looker. The 42inch LCD panel will be full 1080p, sport two 10-watt speakers and offer three HDMI plugs, though with Blu-ray already sorted you may struggle to fill ‘em.

We know high end German engineer Loewe is planning Blu-ray built in for 2010, but with a release date of June, JVC’s entry will beat it to the shelves by at least six months.

The only issue a built-in Blu-rayer raises is with firmware. updates are still frequent and without confirmation of an internet connection onboard, any upgrades could be problematic. No pricing yet, but as always, we’ll keep you posted.
