We brought you news of the world’s first 3D webcam going on sale earlier this week, but we’ve caught the Minoru out in the wilds of CES and tested it for ourselves. See the pics after the jump!
The Skype and IM compatible camera takes feeds from two different cameras at up to 800×600 and slings them together to give depth perception to your webchats, and it’s quite impressive. The video we were shown featured a karate expert flinging limbs towards us, and we were more than tempted to duck.
The only drawback is you’ll have to post one of five pairs of 3D glasses it’s supplied with to anyone you’re planning to chat with in said way.
If wearing paper glasses isn’t your thing though, you can simply shut one lense off and go old school instead. See the pics below, or check out a video of Minoru in action here.
