LG’s press conference gave us the first glimpse of its concept Watch Phone and sent jaws to the floor. The company’s head of R&D Dr Woo Paik then paraded around showing it off, and let us get up close and personal. Come and take a peek!
It’s a stunning design. Minimalist and sexy, with a full colour touchscreen. Its battery will provide two hours talk time, it’s water resistant and even packs 3G and HSDPA.
It weighs just 84g, and has three mechanical keys for making calls and hanging up.
OK, so we’ve seen watch phones in action before, but this isn’t just good for making calls, it’s a full-blown multimedia handset crammed into a wrist-sized package. Dr Paik played us an MP3 through it, and showed it receiving a call.
LG’s keeping tight lipped over pricing and a release date, but the sooner it releases the Wrist Phone and makes our Dick Tracy dreams come true, the better!
