Sony, Microsoft, Samsung, LG press conferences and more!

Today’s the day! It all kicks off at CES in Las Vegas, official stylee: all the big companies will be unveiling new wares at their press conferences and we’ll be live blogging from the world’s biggest electronics tradeshow to bring you all the news as it happens.

16.00 – 16.45, LG
Life will be extra good after the Korean company shows off its new range – we’ll be reporting on the fly so stay tuned for more on monitors, HD TVs, mobiles and then some!

18.00 – 18.45, Toshiba
What’s the Tosh got planned for this year? Find out if it’s made HD breakthroughs, and whether it’s finally ready to forget HD-DVD and embrace Blu-Ray, at its press conference this evening.

20.00 – 20.45, Sharp
Find out what the future is for home cinema as it’s announced at the Sharp press conference today.

22.00 – 22.45, Samsung
Will Samsung enter the traditional “biggest TV in the world” size-off? It’ll certainly be showing off new products for 09. New netbooks? Major mobile developments? Maybe just that 50 inch OLED TV. Find out on our live blog from ten tonight.

23.00 – 23.45, Panasonic
Expect new camera tech revealed at the Panasonic press conference – we’ll be there, in the room, to report.

00.15 – 01.00, Sony
You’ve got to save the best until last, and we’re expecting Sony to dish up some astounding technology at its press conference. We’re expecting the first Vaio Netbook, the first full touchscreen Walkman and the first gadgets to put TransferJet wireless tech in our homes.

02.30 – 03.30, Steve Ballmer keynote
Will we see a Zune phone? Will we see a Zune at all in Europe? There’s no Bill G presenting things this year so expect some scary sweating from Microsoft CEO Ballmer in place of Gates’ calm evangalism. Oh, and a fair few eye-widening products to draw attention away from MacWorld.
