Taiwanese computer company MSI is best known in the west for its successful line of Wind netbooks, but it looks like it’s vying for a chunk of Alienware‘s market, promising a gaming laptop that’s also eco friendly at CES this week.
In an announcement today, MSI said that it would “introduce the world to its first eco-friendly Carbon-Fiber Concept Gaming Notebook.”
There’s no further details yet, although it looks likely to be part of the company’s G-Series range, though if it’s skimping on the power consumption for environmental credentials, we’re wondering if its graphic capabilities will take a hit too. The weight and battery trade off from a low energy, light weight machine should more than make up for that though.
Will the carbon fibre shell beat the new MacBooks’ aluminium all in oneness? And just how “concept” will it be? We’ll bring you more as we hear, and see it.
