More Mac Mini rumours incoming ahead of the Apple keynote speech at Macworld tomorrow: as well as multiple monitor support, it looks like a next-gen Mini may pack a hefty terabyte of storage.
A mysterious announcement from a digital file management firm, SeeFile Software released ahead of the expo this week has added fuel to the speculation flames. The company has been touting: “Complete bundled server systems including a Mac mini server with 1 terabyte of storage are available”.
This could be a simple case of shonky syntax, or indicate it’ll tinker with the littlest Mac’s setup itself before shipping it to customers. However, it’s also being interpreted by some as a hint towards Apple’s unveiling later today.
It’s certainly a giant step up from the current 160GB Mini, and we can’t wait to see if it turns into reality: with the possibility to store up to 255,000 songs or over 1,000 movies, a Mini with all these features could sit happily in the living room or the office. So long, Apple TV!
