Canon's HFS10 is the company's flagship camcorder

Canon‘s got its calendar all muddled up and unveiled a host of HD camcorders before CES kicks off in full force tomorrow.

The camera company has let slip five new HD VIXIA corders, specs and all, and they don’t disappoint, upping megapixels and internal storage space. Get the details and check out all the pics after the jump!

Top of the range are the HVS10 and S100, jacks and masters of all trades with a full HD 8.59 megapixel CMOS sensor, face detection tech and 8MP still shots so you can scrap your compact. The difference? Where the S10 packs an epic 32GB of internal flash memory, the 100 has had the storage scooped out, so you’ll have to shell out for an SD card of your own.

If long distance paparazzo-style stalking is more your thing, the HF20 and HF200 will be more up your street, with Canon’s 15x HD Video Lens squished into both, while the HV40 HDV is ideal for film making purists – it shoots at a native 24 frames per second, just like the cameras Hollywood movie-makers use.

The only things we don’t know are pricing and availability, but with any luck, Canon will give them up at CES later this week. In the meantime, check out all the new models in the gallery below.
