Apple’s new version of iWork includes refreshed Keynote 09 software, which comes loaded with some slick new image transitions and an iPhone remote app that lets you wirelessly control Keynote with finger gestures via the Multi-touch screen.

Using the new Keynote 09 remote on iPhone or iPod Touch, you can flick through presentation slides by swiping your finger across the screen. Hold it up portrait and it displays a single slide, but flip it on its side and it automatically displays a couple of slides side-by side. Pretty smart.

As for the transitions, there are some smart new fancy ones chucked in, including one called Swing, which is just like the effect seen in Apples television adverts.

There’s a new version of Numbers too. And Pages. Yes!

Out now | iWork $79 (single user) $99 (family pack), $49 (single user for a new Mac) | Apple
