This Wednesday Microsoft boss Steve Ballmer will give the keynote speech at CES. So far, so good… except his speech has already leaked online, revealing it’ll be an all-out snooze-fest, with “announcements” that are already public knowledge, and little to steal the limelight from Macworld, which will hold its keynote the day before.
According to TechCrunch, Ballmer will take to the stage at CES to announce Windows 7 will officially enter public beta (despite having already leaked to file sharing networks), Flash support for Windows Mobile (which was already announced by Adobe in November), and two new Halo games for the Xbox, which have already been reported.
Ballmer’s only genuine revelation will be “Home networking made easy” says TechCrunch, with new systems to make sharing files between multiple PCs a lot easier. Hardly a show stopper, we think you’ll agree.
Or maybe it’s a ruse to lull Microsoft’s rivals into a false sense of security. Ballmer wouldn’t really take to the stage with nothing significant to announce. Would he?
