Anyone wanting to use their mobile as a camera for anything other than Xmas party snaps will quickly learn that – megapixels aside – the lens is often the weak link. This has led to some fairly ridiculous looking solutions that do little to improve portability.
iPhone owners who want to up their image quality without doubling the size of their phone might consider a new range of lenses being sold by USB Fever with a handy non-ridiculous method of attaching to the camera.
Rather than relying on clips, straps or special enclosures, the lenses come with a discreet little magnetic washer that you stick around the iPhone’s camera. With that in place, you can attach one of three additional lenses – either fisheye, wide-angle or telephoto – and then pull them away when you are done, keeping the back of the phone looking almost as sleek as it did before you decided to go all David Bailey.
