Some images have turned up that seem to show a HTC Windows Mobile handset running BlackBerry OS. Although looking for all the world like hilarious Photoshop japery, rumours abound that these are leaked screen grabs of BlackBerry Application Suite for Windows Mobile.

First announced by RIM in 2007, the Application Suite is a software package for Windows Mobile that provides most of the features of a ‘real’ BlackBerry in handy WinMo app form. The Suite can be configured to run on the phone’s start up (giving the appearance of a BlackBerry OS with none of that horrible Windows nonsense) or just run in the background and accessed when required.

Berry Review has the shots, as well as some fairly plausible sounding details from an anonymous tipster. Only a few devices are supported at the moment (this may be because it is still early code) but Windows Mobile files can be access from within the virtual BlackBerry. No video support as yet, but full BlackBerry Email with attachments, instant messaging and most BlackBerry apps.
