iPhone gets Metal Gear Solid Touch

Remember when Kojima said that MGS4 would be the last in the series? You were probably worried for a moment there. Now you can relax – Metal Gear Solid will most definitely be back, and this time it’s picking the iPhone as its platform.

Metal Gear Soild Touch will be completely controlled by touchscreen (no surprises there) and will feature 8 levels, including characters and story drawn from Metal Gear Solid 4. Hopefully it won’t be lifting too much plot directly out of MGS4, as that would be a bit of a shame for the serious Metal Gear fans. Assuming they managed to stay awake through they game’s infamously long cut-scenes, that is.

Extra stages are going to be released later. Players will also be able to gain bonus points through gameplay and use them to unlock extras like wallpapers and images.

The game is due out next Spring.

Out Spring 2009| £TBA | Konami (via 1Up)
