As if the new MacBooks weren’t beautiful enough, you can even attach them to an even bigger, luscious screen: the Apple Cinema Display. Steve Jobs revealed the LED monitors back in October, but we’ve finally got our lucky mits on one and unboxed it: check out all the pictures after the jump.
We managed to get hold of a glossy 24 incher and lug it up the stairs where we ripped it open and got it up and running with the latest MacBook in under a minute. Apple‘s famous ease of use is present here: the only things supplied with it are a mains plug (kind of vital), a small instruction booklet and a cleaning cloth in case you commit heresy and leave a fingerprint on the screen.
We’ll be back with first impressions on it tomorrow, but for the moment, suffice to say that it’s a bit special. Plugging it in was a doddle, and to show you the full richness of the screen we put on a DVD of a film with some astonishing use of colour, Dolls, before flicking through a few choice photos. Cinema is an apt term for it. Have a look at it in action below while we think of an excuse for not giving it back. Ever.
