Axl Rose may have kept music fans and journalists hanging on for nearly fourteen years while he hand-polished every single note of Guns ‘n Roses comeback album Chinese Democracy but now it has actually hit record shops he has dropped a tantalising hint that the album may end up as DLC for the Rock Band franchise.
In a Q&A session with die hard G’nR fans, this happened:
Q: Oh, wait! Axl, I find the verses on Shackler’s Revenge to remind me of The Sopranos theme tune in certain ways. Should they do? Furthermore, any chance of getting the complete album on Rockband? That would be swell. I’ve done SR on expert, so if you’re looking for a guitarist, PM me.
Axl: Never thought of that w/the Sopranos but a big fan of that song. And I think that’s a yes on Rockband.
Now, Axl isn’t one to rush into things so it is anyone’s guess if this will be out in 2009 or even during the current generation of consoles but it is something to think about.
In the meantime, maybe he would consider recording some soundtrack work for Duke Nukem Forever?
