Everypoint have developed Nemo – an application framework for Java-based mobile phones that is described as bringing ‘iPhone-Like’ visuals to non-smartphones.
If you are a developer Nemo essentially does some of the hard work in knocking up a good looking application for you. It comes with a graphcs ‘engine’ that programmers can use to give a consistent look and feel to all Nemo apps.
Apps are developed using Nemo‘s own programming language which is designed to make it simple to create an internet-enabled app that will run on any Java phone that supports the Nemo client.
Apps created with Nemo are claimed to have ‘high quality’ graphics with support for several different audio, video and image formats, data synchronisation and support for an ‘App Store’ like marketplace.
