Remember the banned iPhone app, Pull My Finger? It seems Apple has tracked down its misplaced sense of humour and, in a complete turnaround, allowed the app to be sold through iTunes after all. iPod Touch and iPhone-owning fans of puerile humour can now get their fart joke fix without jailbreaking their device. Hooray!

Developer Andrew Mason announced the app’s availability to iPhone owners who signed up to an online petition, stating: “Apple has reversed their decision… Pull My Finger is in the app store! This is a great victory for developers!”

Apple had originally refused to let Pull My Finger onto the App Store, stating that it “is of limited utility to the broad iPhone and iPod touch user community.”

But it seems there’s been some re-thinking behind the scenes, along with, we presume, some giggling. The app’s now on sale for 59p.

Out now | 59p | Pull My Finger (available in iTunes)
