Just as we bring you news that Flash ads will be slouching their way to the iPhone, Google has announced that Adwords will now detect the iPhone and G1 browsers and adjust to fit.
Advertisers will be able to target ads at iPhone or Android users as well as other phone browsers that can display full HTML. Recent changes to Google’s mobile results pages mean that ads should be easier to read and format correctly on handheld devices.
As with the ‘Flash’ announcement, this is a development that is really intended for advertisers rather than the end user but you may start to notice that your searches bring up ad content that seems just a little more targeted directly at you and your choice of phone. How wonderful.
