Forget the N97. This leaked photo shows what Nokia’s really cooking up. A full-screen touchscreen phone with widgets, gesture controls and a simply stunning design. The only snag? It’s not real.
The device, which is so far unnamed, appears to use a new version of the Symbian OS. Shown off by Nokia at its Capital Markets Day last week, this teaser image was designed to get delegates excited about new software being worked on. However, when it comes to the hardware, the Big N has nothing like this in store.
Instead the image is intended to show user interface enhancements in the Finnish phone-maker’s pipeline. We already know from the N97 unveiling that Nokia is big on widgets, and touchscreens. There’s no official confirmation, but this looks more like a concept than evidence of hardware actually around the corner.
What do you think? Does the software outshine the mock-up phone it’s on, or should Nokia be concentrating on giving us a device like this and stop teasing us with wild photoshoppery? The comments section is open below.
