It’s the middle of the day and your stomach is probably rumbling – so grab yourself a bite and settle down to digest the morning’s biggest portions of tech news.
First, we’ve got some bad news: Sony says it won’t be taking the trimmers to the PS3′s price tag pre-Chrimbo, despite rumours to the contrary. Of course, retailers are free to set their own prices, so there could be some bargains out there.
Audiophiles rejoice! Denon has taken the wraps off a new Blu-ray player that can also spin DVD-Audio and SACD music discs. The DVD-A1UD is a high-end deck with no less than two HDMI outputs – and it should be launching next year.
And finally, PlayStation 2 and 3-owning Guitar Hero addicts can now pre-order a full-on luxury controller made from wood and metal. It’s an officially licensed wireless controller from Logitech and it costs £150 – yes, more than a real electric guitar!
