Not content with dishing up the most astounding N-Series ever, Nokia just updated Nokia Maps with 3D landmarks, speed limits and traffic delay information and web-to-phone syncing.

The latest version of Nokia Maps will ad high resolution aerial photographs, as well as 3D landmarks for 216 countries.

Most amazingly, the new mapping app will serve up real time locations of police safety (or speed) cameras, and live traffic information. It’s catching up with TomTom, that’s for sure.

There’s a pedestrian mode too, with neat beeps and vibrations to alert you to an upcoming turn.

Away from the phone itself, the new Maps on Ovi service will let Nokia owners plan a trip on the web, and then sync it to their mobile.

You can download the new version of Nokia Maps from the phone maker’s Beta Labs website.
