Struggling to imaging blowing a sax solo, bowing a violin or waving a conductor’s baton while just holding your WiiMote for Wii Music? Then a) you need to develop that brain of yours a bit and b) US peripherals firm EZGear has the solution – plastic peripherals.

The EZGear Wii MusicPack Accessory Kit, $30, available soon, features plastic “instruments” to slot your WiiMote (or Nunchuck) into. There’s four instrumental options – sax, violin, conductor’s baton and, combined with that, drumsticks.

What next? A plastic drum pedal to sit on top of your Balance Board? Possibly the only real charm of non-game Wii Music is the way it looks charmingly daft standing around doing a double-bass riff on a bit of thin air. But no, for morons without braincells to rub together, EZGear would happily make you a plastic double-bass. And who said playing videogames dulled the imagination? Sheesh.
