Nokia reckons it’s on to something with its new Build service, cranking out customised phones for fashion conscious chatterboxes, but do you customise your other kit too? Are you interested in buying pre-customised gizmos, or would you rather undertake the hard work yourself?

Whether it’s a sticker collection on your laptop, or a spot of laser etching on an iPod. Do you go for the personalised look, or is it just a bit too attention-seeking?

We’re inclined to think Nokia Build will do fantastically well, especially as you can upload your own photos to be printed on the phone. But what do you say? The comments section is open below. Shout up!

I always wanted to try a spot of laptop engraving, but there are three reasons why I haven’t: 1) I couldn’t decide on something I’d want permanently engraved on my laptop, 2) it’s too expensive, 3) no way am I letting some idiot with a metal-scouring laser loose on my MacBook.

I’ll stick with custom wallpapers for now.
