With its heady mix of ancestral regressions, Templars and intimations that some of “miracles” in the Bible were faked (see below), Assassin’s Creed should have been on our Top Ten Most God-Bothering Games Ever list. Now, Ubisoft have confirmed that the company is “working hard” on a sequel for the climb, sneak, fight, kill, escape game.
Assassin’s Creed, starring Altair during the time of the Crusades as an assassin, was one of the bravest and most interesting games released in the last few years. Fortunately, it has also been quite a big success for Ubisoft.
The second game would be the middle in a supposedly planned trilogy of titles. And could, according to infamous Wedbush Morgan analyst/Mystic Meg-a-like Michael Pachter, take place “several hundred years” after the original game. Pachter reckons the second game will be set in the 1700s, possibly during the French Revolution.
Meanwhile, for those still puzzling about the ending of the first game, we point you to Xbox World 360′s ending FAQ that explains the significance to the game of the Holy Grail, the Mayan end of the world calendar and the Philadelphia Experiment, as well as why many miracles in the bible may have been illusions. Warning: lots of spoilers.
