Android owners have their first alternative mobile browser, with today’s release of Opera Mini 4.2. It’s the next-generation of Opera’s ultra-fast web-viewer, and the first 3rd party option for Google’s OS.
As well as including 90 language options, the new version allows users to personalise their browser and use Opera Link software to sync notes from their desktop PC to the mobile browser.
There’s also increased support for real time streaming protocol (RTSP), which should deliver better mobile video.
Of course, it’s available for other mobiles too. Unless you’re using an iPhone. Despite Opera saying it’s keen to develop for Apple’s mobile, it has so far failed to appear in the iTunes App Store.
