Humax has announced that its long-awaited FOXSAT-HDR set-top box, which allows viewers to both watch and record high definition Freesat chanels, will finally go on sale from 22nd November.

The box features a 320GB hard drive able to store 80 hours of hi-def shows or 200 hours of standard def content. There’s an 8-day electronic programme guide to make setting recordings a breeze, plus series recording – a bit like Sky+’s Series Link feature, this lets you record an entire series with just one button press. Users will also be able to pause and rewind live television.

You’ll need a satellite dish and Freesat connection to get all this, but there’s no Sky-style subscription fee to pay.

Out 22 November | £299 | Humax
