Just a quick reminder that today is the day when your Xbox 360′s dashboard gets a major overhaul. Wave goodbye to the blades, thumb bandits – the New Xbox Experience (aka NXE) is here!

There’s no official word on what time it all kicks off, although 10am has been mentioned on some forums. We just had a quick poke around on Xbox Live and it’s business as normal, but once the NXE is ready to roll you’ll be prompted to download it.

We’ll get back to you with our first impressions of the NXE later on.

    Darn, I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to update mine… I played with it a few weeks ago, and was it me, but did it seem a *lot* quicker than the old ‘Blade’ dashboard?

    I turned mine on at 7:00AM (USA Eastern time) and downloaded it right away.
    Netflix is not running yet though. They said to log on to my account in two hours. I’m betting they’re SWAMPED with people trying to register their XBox to their account, but weren’t ready for the numbers they got all at once.
    (New dash is cool tho.)

    the nxe is sooo cool
    with the boxes and avatars,
    its just what we xbox gamers need ^ ^
    ( i cant for street fighter 4 next year !! )
