We’ve waited with baited breath for months, but LG finally whipped the covers off the Prada II mobile phone this afternoon, confirming it’ll be on sale by the end of the month.
The brand new Prada Phone by LG has the model number LG KF900, and improves on the previous model by adding a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. There’s also a new user interface, built around LG’s “active flash” menu system.
There’s improved haptic feedback, so the phone vibrates when the screen is touched, as well as 3G with HSDPA and a 5 megapixel camera.
There’s also Wi-Fi inside, a second camera for video calls and DivX playback abilities.
As it’s a fashion phone, there’s all the exclusive Prada elements you’d expect. Including ring tones, wallpapers, and video clips, and Prada has even loaded its Fall/Winter 2008 Lookbook.
But the Prada love-in doesn’t stop there. LG has also created a special Bluetooth watch to accompany the phone. It’s designed to let you see who’s calling by glancing at your wrist, as well as reading text messages without fishing the handset from a bag or pocket.
We’ve seen Bluetooth watches before. Sony Ericsson has a whole range on sale, but they’ve always looked clunky and too high-tech to pass as fashionable wristwear. This is different. It’s typical Prada style, and we absolutely love it.
