The choice of touchscreen phones is becoming more bewildering by the day, and now there’s another ultra-stylish option on the horizon.
LG’s confirmed it’ll be launching the Prada II on Tuesday, complete with a QWERTY keyboard and a better camera than any of the Big Three. Does it tempt you?
The new Prada handset is certainly a looker, kicking dust in the eye of the T-Mobile G1 and even the BlackBerry Storm. Only the iPhone has the curves to fend off its designer assault.
Will you buy the Prada II when it hits the shelves at the end of November? Is there really any need for an ultra-swish way to e-mail on the move? Shout up in the comments section below!

Oh bollocks, another new phone to confuse me on which to buy
Missing a GPS sensor apparently. Everything else seems to be there. What OS though? Hope not Windows
With 3G, Wi-Fi and HSDPA on board, along with a 5 megapixel camera on board it just might tempt some BlackBerry loyalists. Having said that, LG’s not for everyone, having tried the original Prada I include myself in that bunch.
Load of old crap. If I wanted a poncey phone I’d buy an iPHone.
It sounds crude and illogical, but I just don’t want a phone with an Italian fashion label’s name on it. Not unless it comes with a free chihuahua anyway. In all seriousness though, I am a big fan of the keyboard in box smaller than a G1 – I think it’s a design that people will start returning to more once the touchscreen phase dies down. But it needs to be on a phone which offers more than just chicness, darling.
Hehe, it might work as a replacement for a Blackberry… if it did email.
It does not.
It’s the original Prada handset with the original OS and a QWERTY keyboard. It will sell 15 units, have a returns rate of 80% and disappear into the ether forever.
The QWERTY keyboard is back with a vengeance and it’s here to stay! I hate the Prada, but I’m all about the revival of this most under-rated (and typically unfashionable) method of inputting text on a mobile device, so in a way I have to congratulate LG for putting it in a fashion phone.
i just got the storm and am quite disappointed! i had the first prada which i loved and i’m thinking i’d really like to get the new one. i hate having to click when i write messages and think it’s so much easier to do it on the prada. plus the storm is huge!
i’m also not a massive user of the internet on my phone but thought i’d give it a go and was given a good deal but having to download all the apps n stuff is a ball ache, i don’t know if it’s me but i can’t find many, or do simple things like changing my ringtone! i hate fussing with phones n don’t mind switching to a dumbed down version! maybe i can warm to it but i dunno, i loved my last prada.
