How’s this for a strange launch promo: Vodafone is celebrating its exclusive Dell Inspiron Mini 9 with built in 3G by sending an anonymous employee out into the world, then giving away laptops to anyone who can find him!
Simply dubbed the Vodafone LiveGuy, he’ll be touring the UK and challenging people to find him. A bit like a high-tech Where’s Wally, leaving clues about his location online from his Dell Inspiron Mini 9.
Each day he’ll have up to three of the dinky Dell laptops to give away to anyone who comes to find him, clad in a fetching “I’m LiveGuy” jumper, as well as one for online stalkers who can pin him down using Google Maps.
The promo kicks off on Monday, and you’ll be able to follow (or track) him using Twitter and YouTube, as well as a special blog.
Sure, it’s a bit silly, but the prize is definitely worth nabbing if you can decode his clues. Remember to let us know if you bag one of the free laptops; we promise not to report your stalking to the police.
