We’ve already had plenty of sneak peeks at the next generation of iPhone software, but now there’s a rumour it’ll launch in just nine days time!
According to iPhoneHellas, a Greek iPhone site that in all honesty we’ve never heard of, Apple’s iPhone 2.2 software will become available on November 21.
We understand it’ll deliver emoji icons for Japanese users, increased language support and Google street view, as well as public transport directions and the ability to turn auto-correction off while typing.
There’ll also be a new look to Safari, with a Google search bar always visible, an improved App Store, and the ability to download podcasts without connecting to a computer.
How reliable is this rumour? We’re not sure. iPhoneHellas doesn’t have a track record in Apple predictions, and its sources are un-named. On the other hand, Apple’s recent beta releases have been stable, and out for a while. We’d say if it’s not out by the 21st, it won’t be too long after.
