iPhone price cuts incoming?

Looking for a festive bargain? Orange in France looks poised to lop €50 from the iPhone’s price, bringing it down to €99, or just over £80 in proper money.

The latest penny-pinching tidbit comes courtesy of a promotional flyer handed to AppleInsider, although there’s still doubt over which tariff that price applies to.

It also appears that the low price iPhone will be of the 8GB variety, rather than the full-blown 16GB model. Separate rumours point towards the 16GB version being reduced to €129, or £105.

The flyer states the promotional price drop will last from November 13, that’s tomorrow, until January 14th.

Will we see a cheaper iPhone in the UK? We haven’t heard any rumours, but given the pressure Apple and O2 are under from the BlackBerry Storm on Vodafone and T-Mobile G1, we wouldn’t be surprised. Keep it here for updates as soon as we hear them.
