Apple’s iPod Nano may be the best flash media player on the market if you just want to listen to tunes, but that screen won’t let you watch full films unless you fancy squinting for an hour and a half.
Samsung‘s new YP-Q1 Diamond solves the mobile movie conundrum. We’ve just been playing with it, and can report it’s one of the best mini-PMPs out there. Come and take a peek!
At 2.4 inches, the screen matches that of an iPod Classic, but it’ll let you play iPlayer content downloaded straight off the net, which is certainly one in the eye for Apple.
We’re quite taken by the diamond control interface too – it’s not as seamless as the iPod’s click wheel, but it’s certainly more flashy.
There are three models, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB, all in two colours (black or silver, so the Nano wins if you’re after more choice), kicking off at just £60 for the smallest. The YP-Q1 is shipping now, so expect it in shops very shortly. In the mean time, whet your PMP appetite with our gallery below.
