It’s Friday, and it’s lunchtime! Put down your pens, pretend you filed your reports: the weekend starts right now, with our midday medley of all the news so far this morning.
We told you yesterday how it looks as if you’ll be able to tether your T-Mobile G1 to your laptop for 3G speeds, but by sheer “coincidence” it now seems you’ll be able to do the very same on an iPhone. Hmm.
Speaking of touchscreen phones, we also brought you first impressions of RIM’s new email machine, the BlackBerry Storm. We found it suffered from slow network speeds and wobbly software, but that hasn’t put customers off, with thousands already pre-ordering theirs.
Games wise, we got to grips with the demo of Left4Dead on the PC, but if that’s too scary for you, Wii Music might be more to your taste. Whether Miyamoto’s boast that making it was easy will help sales though remains to be seen.
Finally, some juicy camera gossip: Sony Ericsson says we’ll be seeing full HD shooting camera phones in a few years’ time. We think there’ll still be a place for USP cameras like Paul Smith’s wide angle old schooler though.
