Sony Ericsson W705 Walkman phone

Sony Ericsson today continued its onslaught on the music-centred mobile market with the release of W705 Walkman phone: a slick, slider handset with a metal finish and a 2.4-inch screen.

Apparently aimed at the ladies, the W705 gets HSDPA and Wi-Fi with a YouTube application for video viewing, Bluetooth, 4GB memory card and Google Maps. It also boasts “premium” headphones no less, but sadly, there’s no 3.5mm jack for your own choice of cans.

It also sports ‘shake control’ so you can change tracks with a flick of your hand, plus there’s a 3.2-megapixel snapper on the back, a FM radio and a 2.4-inch LCD display.

These groovy handset for the girls measures 95 x 47.5 x 14.3mm and will be available in red or silver variations from early next year.

Out next year | Price TBC | Sony Ericsson
