After all the hoo-ha about a new iMac and updated Mac Mini yesterday, Apple’s taken the unusual step of squashing the rumours flat. A spokesman has confirmed there’ll be no more new Macs before Christmas, so if you’ve been waiting and waiting for a new model, it’s not going to happen… at least not until 2009.
What is certain, however, is that Microsoft and LG will be making mobiles together. Lots of them. The Korean phone firm just signed a deal to put Windows Mobile in its new devices.
Can it see off the threat from Symbian, Android and the iPhone though? The Big M certainly thinks so.
Lastly, there’s some tasty games news this morning: Valve is gearing up to launch a brand new Steam service for PC gaming fans. Steam Cloud is a system for storing player settings on the server end, so that when you shift from computer to computer, mouse configurations, keyboard settings and even savegames will stay with you.
