There’s confusion, and the possibility of an almighty row, brewing around the iPhone. Last week it was revealed that Opera had created a version of its web browser for Apple’s handset, but claims started doing the rounds that it was being blocked from the iTunes App Store.
Now there’s a counter-claim that it hasn’t even been submitted, but with no denial that Opera Mini exists for the iPhone, Apple’s under more pressure than ever to drop its anti-competitive attitude to apps, and let it onboard.
Another smartphone under the spotlight is the T-Mobile G1. The world’s first Android phone has already had its first security flaw uncovered, with Google racing to fix the problem before it’s seized upon by pesky hackers.
Back to Apple for a spot of desktop news. It seems the iMac and Mac Mini could be getting an upgrade as early as next week. There’s a rumour Apple will unveil beefed up models on November 10th.
