UPDATE: We’ve just scored some inside info on the next-generation Eee Top. Check it out here!
We’ve just had our first touch and feel with Asus’s iMac-battling Eee Top PC at Stuff Live. We thought it was cool before, but now we’ve had a go, it’s simply awesome. Come and see why!
The 15 inch touchscreen is fantastically sensitive, and supports gestures, swipes and prods. There’s an easy to use interface too, giving one-touch access to apps, web bookmarks and settings.
Designed to function as a ‘family PC’ there’s even a neat app to leave post-it note messages for other family members.
It’s a neat little box too. Even though its touchscreen, there’s a keyboard and mouse included too, which stash neatly away behind the screen. It’s also wall mountable, and packs enough ports to plug in six USB accessories without a hub.
Best of all, the whole thing is just £400. That’s half the price of an iMac, and Asus rightly thinks it’ll sell by the boatload. Check out our gallery below, and if you’re in London get along to the Stuff Live show this weekend and see it for yourself.
