The T-Mobile G1 is now available in Britain. Unless you’ve been living in a tech-free zone for the past few months you’ll know it’s the first Android phone in the world, and nothing short of awesome.

And speaking of the iPhone, it just got a serious upgrade in the Far East.

Japanese owners can now tune into live digital TV thanks to a 1-Seg adapter made specifically for the handset. It uses Wi-Fi to fling proper broadcasts direct to its tiny screen, but there’s little chance we’ll ever see it on these shores.

Also in Japan, there’s word that the Nintendo DSi could be in trouble. A new survey of gamers has found less that four per cent planning to buy the new handheld gaming box. Worse still, over 40 per cent reckoned they wouldn’t be buying it at all.
