Sure, Nuts TV has its knockers, but the laddish station was just dealt the final crushing blow, being kicked off Freeview to make way for a thoroughly un-sexy news channel.
It’s a sign of the times that CNN International is higher on the credit crunched agenda than Nuts’ unique brand of slap and tickle-themed entertainment. However, it’s not completely dead… it’ll live on through the web.
“It’s vital that TBS and IPC play to our respective strengths said Dee Forbes, TBS’ senior vice-president and general manager, adding: “For Nuts TV the future is in the fast-growing world of online.”
Still, that makes more room on the airwaves for mutterings about the world’s financial markets, hell and handbaskets. You can pick up CNN International immediately, although we can’t promise it’ll be anywhere near as interesting.
