MSI Wind the overclockers favourite

Categories: Computers & Accessories News    Tags: ,

One way to gain a foot hold in the market is to make an individual specification for every man, woman and child alive. MSI, however, has decided to leave that route to Asus and court the overclockers instead.

The latest official v1.09 BIOS for its little laptop now includes specific go faster settings to eke out extra performance from the processor by a margin of 8, 15 or 24 percent if you’re feeling particularly brave.

The obvious downside of this is more heat (not overly brilliant in a small case) and shorter battery life (again, not a double thumbs up for a portable machine). Still, if you must you can grab the latest update from MSI now.
