The iTunes Store might let iPhones and the iPod touch download music on the move, but so far fans of podcasts have needed to dock their device to grab new episodes. That could be about to change if the latest leaked software is genuine.
A leak of the iPhone’s 2.2 software has been turned over to The Unnofficial Apple Weblog, showing the iPod application with a new “Get More Episodes” option.
It would suggest Apple will allow direct downloads from the iPhone or iPod touch, although at present the button doesn’t do anything.
However, it’s important to note that no other tipsters have unearthed the feature, despite already ripping the software apart to find new Google Maps features, Japanese emoji symbols and support for 3rd party accessories.
