If our hands on with the Samsung i7110 got you excited last week, we’ve got some bad news. Samsung just let slip to us that it won’t be releasing the handset in the UK in the foreseeable future.
We were impressed by the i7110’s vivid OLED screen, but Samsung doesn’t think the UK public at large will be, as the company has just confirmed it won’t be releasing it on these shores anytime soon.
A spokesperson told us “There are currently no plans to release the i7110 in the UK so we will not be distributing any”. They wouldn’t let slip reason as to why, but at least it’s a straight forward “no”.
The news come as something of a surprise however, as Samsung was showing the phone off at an Earls Court expo only last week, and several UK stores are already putting it up for pre-order online. UK fans eagerly awaiting the media maestro will have to make do with the 8510 eight megapixel monster instead.
