Motorola’s had a tough couple of months, but this leaked spy shot of the next-generation RAZR could turn the company’s fortunes around.
It looks like a traditional RAZR design, but with a keypad lifted from Motorola’s latest ROKR E8.
Dubbed the Motorola i9, it’s been unearthed by the chaps at Boy Genius Report, and we hear it’ll be hitting the Sprint network in the US.
We’ve yet to hear murmurs of it cropping up on this side of the Atlantic, but assuming its keypad uses the same lighting system as the ROKR range, it could combine the best functions of both Moto devices.
See, the ROKR phones feature ModeShift, with keys that illuminate with different logos depending on the functions on-screen. Sure, it’s not as fancy as a touchscreen, but it does keep phones slim.
What do you think? Is this the RAZR you’ve been waiting for?
